Sermon Notes

Sermon Notes

As I have grown in my faith and understanding, I have longed to take better notes while my pastor is preaching the good news to my heart and soul. I tried written, but I'm a slow writer and it was harder for me to pay attention while writing something so I would miss things. I also knew that I would have trouble keeping track of written notes, papers would get lost, pens would run out of ink, pencils would break, etc. Then when I fill a notebook I have to store it if I ever want to be able to reference it.

I also thought about trying a note taking program on a laptop or tablet. That kind of works, but if I ever get a new device, then I would have to figure out if I could transfer those notes to the new device. I have used YouVersion's Bible app in the past and it has a good note taking feature, but viewing the Bible passage at the same time you are writing notes is not ideal. I also attend a Reformed church and we reference Reformed creeds, confessions, and catechisms. So I decided to build my own app to do what I wanted it to do.

If you are technically inclined and would like to attempt to set it up on your own server, feel free to give it a try and the link below

I currently host a version of it on my computer at home and if you'd like to access it and try to take your own notes, feel free to create an account and give it a whirl.
